Please Don’t ...
Call Me A Pig !
While these pesky yet lovable pig-like peccaries roam the streets of
Sedona, many mistake them for wild boars or pigs. These little
rascals have a penchant for mischief and adventure, and boy, do
they know how to keep us on our toes!
First things first, let's get acquainted with these peculiar
creatures. Javelinas, or peccaries if you're feeling fancy, are
medium-sized, pig-like ungulates (mammals with hooves). Picture
a pig, give it a dash of swagger, and voilà - you've got yourself a
javelina! With snouts ending in cartilaginous discs and eyes that
are just a wee bit tiny for their heads, they're definitely not your
average porker.
